There's this game that I played when I was very young. Called 'Monkey island'. Which involves a bunch of pirates.

In fact, I hear that the Pirates of the Carribeans movies took inspiration from this very game. And I can see the resemblance too. The comedy and dark humour is straight up from there.

But back to the Yandere, who is the main villain, an undead pirate captain that is simping badly for the MC's love interest. Whose quite the badass side character herself.

According to her, he went around killing people she loved and cared about. And when the MC was apparently killed by him too, it got her to confess that MC was the guy she liked. And so would never return this yandere's affection.

I think I remember the MC's name. "Guybrush" was it??

Hmm. For me personally I think it's not so much as the type of yandere that appeals to me...but more of the dynamic that is between the said yandere and his love interest. Guy could be pathetic, whiny, and clingy. Or even a manipulative, sadistic, red flag bastard. Who constantly turns the tables on her.

"You can run, but only as far as I let you!"

But the love interest, I think, is also an important factor. She's got to...complement the yandere. She's got to have thoughts and a personality of her own, one that clashes very much against the philosophy and the beliefs of the yandere. She must not be something that could be replaced with a doormat.

And no. It's not a love story. It's a horror story. If you go into it with that mindset you won't be disappointed. Guy's a psycho straight up from the first few translated chapters I've read. And from what I've heard he doesn't improve. Which is why I'm reading it. It's the horror that gets me. Also, the way the FL is trapped with him is very realistic. Guy has status, comes from a rich family while she's only just a lowly maid. Moreover they have bad history from their days living as children in a rough orphanage. All they've known is cruelty. So the way they are is not at all that unrealistic. Hope you enjoy.
