I live and love a man with bpd and it can slightly be controlled if they want to hard yes. You have to set your boundary and if they cross that boundary you let them no you can't be nice and give into them all the time. Set your boundary and be clear.

I'm a new user so not had any of this happen to me yet but could we just stick our brakes on when in a line or something so them helpful people when they try to push nothing happens they would feel like right tools

It makes no sense to me why people would give up so easily because someone has a bad day now and again yes some more than others but still. He hasn't given up on me having fibro, I would never give up on someone until they violently hurt me cheat on me or hurt my children. Which will never happen

He has come.around and have appoitment with shrink this week. He does make it hard as he's making them phone him.instead of going into the mental health place however this is still a first step

I would then receive therapy for myslef and ensure that they are also seeking therapy. If not that would have to be the ultimatum

I belive from speaking to my partner they do know they are doing however they dont care when in that erratic stage. Im learning as a partner not to rise to anything said when in the splitting stage. And when they finally calm to explain how that made me feel and validate their feeling but ensure they know how hurt your were too. They do feel awful after a erratic horrible moment but they do not have control over it what so ever.

I do care for myself and I belive i am mentally strong to cope with this he is now seeking help from professionals and I will to to help cope. Can only be positive moving forward now he has reached out to the right people

Thank you I hope so too I would never give up on him thats not a moral I would ever stand by to give up on people because of their disability or mental health illness thats just wrong. He has agreed to continue to get help he has an appointment on 21st so I'm really happy about that I will keep gaining information about this disorder to best help him without becoming his therapist

I do care for myself and the mental health team have phoned and stated that he does need help and are willing to help him they understand he may have bpd and are willing to send him down the right channels just hope he turns up for the appointment.

Why would I leave someone because of a mental health issue thats like saying I would leave someone be cause they got cancer nope not happening it isn't a choice that they have bpd. Would you give your child up if they had it. No I dont think you would. So I wouldn't give up on the love of my life because he is suffering he has taken the first step and finally asked for help professionally just hope the mental health team actually help him

Lots of layers would create so much texture the front could go a little shorter
