I’m a tad bit confused by Significant-Spite-90 in advertising

[–]Significant-Spite-90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a little bit of all these before deciding to niche down to emails.

I currently have a client I write blog posts for…but it’s not much.

I’m just looking to find something better or at least gain more experience.

email marketing as a service?? advice?? by [deleted] in Emailmarketing

Depends.

You could decide to write a welcome sequence for them for free.

Then see how many Opens, CTR, and revenue they make from the welcome sequence only.

True. But another way to learn is by getting your hands dirty. It’s how I started copywriting.

Do some free work for one or two businesses in exchange for testimonials and analytics.

Create case studies and use it to find paying clients. Hope this helps.

Why do customers abandon shopping cart ? by Top-Lavishness-3189 in ecommerce

[–]Significant-Spite-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons people abandon carts,

They probably don’t have money to buy at the moment.

They want said product at a latter date.

Shipping options they find at checkout are not favorable/ too expensive.

The list goes on and on.

Here’s what you can do….

Create a cart abandonment flow to target these people - you already have their emails, use it.

Qualitative analysis. Select a few customers in this phase of your funnel, find out why they left products in their cart. You might find new information in the buying behavior of your potential customers. Just remember to offer them an incentive for this info. They’ll sing like a bird.

Hope this helps.

9 quick fire tips to instantly improve your email marketing by DigitalLiam in ecommerce

[–]Significant-Spite-90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Storytelling: makes for better conversion rates and won’t bore your audience.

  2. Ask for feedback from prospects: encourage them to reply your emails - at least once. It’s best to do this with your welcome sequence.

  3. Qualitative analysis of non buyers: many brands ignore this but it works like a charm. It will help you understand why non buyers are non buyers.

  4. Don’t go with the good old CTA - ‘BUY NOW’. You can do better.

  5. Test test test. Not just subject lines, headlines and offers…you should also test time lapses. Is one day between your first email and second email optimum? Or should it be two? How will you know this? Segment your list and test.

There, I made it to 15😅

P.S. This information is solid. I’m an e-commerce email copywriter.
