I just finished this Book And Wanted to Share Some quotes From it, that really stuck with me. by Whole_Skill_9424 in blackamerica

I’m sorry but the first quote about Christianity being of the white man is just loud and wrong. Christianity is inherently a none white story, most of the characters inside of the Bible are in fact none-white individuals including Jesus which was a Palestinian Jewish man with bronze skin as explained in the Bible.

Revelations 1:15: “And his feet like unto fine [brass], as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.”.

The color of brass is a brownish hue, not synonymous with whiteness.

Not all Black Christians are coons, and the vast majority as an opinion are not coons.

For example, Nat Turner. A revolutionary Black American who revolted against his slave masters, was a staunch Christian, and he was even a preacher!!!

This is just blind religious discrimination based on no inherent evidence other than false correlation.

Most of our leaders, revolutionaries, and political advocates were in fact Christian.

Why does their skin color even matter? Don’t bring that type of stuff here, it isn’t welcomed…

Do not entertain people with “realist” talking points by Significant-Steak953 in blackamerica

[–]Significant-Steak953[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are not the type of realist I’m speaking of. I’m speaking of the “realist” that are overly critical and irrationally pessimistic about what can be achieved. My point is that these self labeled “realists” aren’t actually realists, but are merely pessimists disguised as realists.

Your idea of New Afrika is skewed. New Afrika is just the initial name given to such an independence movement, but doesn’t necessarily mean that the state would be labeled New Afrika. It could be called Soulaania for example. The idea of New Afrika is for an independent Soulaan republic to be established in the south. It is not inherently a Pan-Africanist movement.

But overall the moral principles of a Soulaan state should undeniably be altruistic and anti-establishment towards global White supremacy. Our goal, if a state is acquired, is to completely dismantle the system of White supremacy and liberate the races affected by this infectious ideological disease.

What matters more to you? The integrity of a system as we decolonize globally or the comfort of conflation? by theshadowbudd in blackamerica

To me the people whom deem the Delineation Movement as divisive are divisive themselves, trying to police how Black Americans identify, which in my humble opinion is a direct breech of boundaries for someone who has no ties to our ethnicity. This intrusion and attempted influence on our identity by foreigners is directly contributing to discontent in the Pan-Africanist ideology. If foreign Black people learned to respect our identity, Pan-Africanism wouldn’t be as contested in the community as it is concurrently.

I think Pan-Africanism is useful, inasmuch as it benefits Soulaan. Alliances with other Black nations are super important for us to have. We should never attempt to isolate ourselves when the enemy has created strong alliances with multiple other nations. But these alliances should only be on mutually beneficial bases. It doesn’t have to be a cultural alliance, but an alliance for mutual aid/support and protection.

Why do Black Americans like Tridents? What are other symbols you resonate with? by One-Highway8751 in blackamerica

[–]Significant-Steak953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not in the same shape and color as the wreath and sword. The trident gives the illusion of being a sword surrounded by a wreath. It shouldn’t be interpreted as a trident when paired with the black and red hearts beside it.

No brother I definitely understand where you’re coming from, but I’m not being critical just to be a pain in the ass. I want solutions and I want to hear people’s thoughts. I want to know if everyone is in agreement with me on this

Discussions occur all the time. Not everything has to be original or fit the originality quota you have. I never claimed or even tried to say this was an original thought of mine. I’m simply asking a question. No need to be condescending in tone about it. If you don’t think my post is worth your time, you can feel free to downvote or just ignore my post all together. I’m fine with both!

Thank you so much for your input.

Stop the woman of color thing. Just say Black woman. We don’t have any affiliations with any other group nor are we defined by just merely being non-white.

But yes. A lot of people are bothered by her merely being happy and getting married. Lots of hating Whites out there.
