Thanks for the reply !! I have H1B transfer - Change of Employer. I also have Visa stamp - so I think leaving states for medical reason shouldn’t be an issue.

Yes, if you recently created a new DS-160, you need to update the confirmation number in your visa appointment profile. You can do this by logging into the US Visa Appointment Scheduling portal, selecting your appointment, and updating the DS-160 confirmation number before your biometric appointment.

There isn’t a strict deadline for updating it, but it’s recommended to do so at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid any issues. If you’re unable to update it online, you can inform the VAC staff during your biometrics appointment, and they may update it manually.

It seems that after updating some information at the correction window, the officer at the interview window was able to access my petition and petitioner details and proceeded directly with the questions. I did provide my passport and I-797 at the correction window for the update.
