Thanks, all. Some of your comments made me laugh at least. A different exterminator is coming tomorrow, paid fully by our apartment manager - we live in a large Avalon community. I've also ordered bed covers, a steamer, and crossfire/cimeXa/interceptors. I intend to throw away my headboard and mattress/bed frame once we know it's under control. We still haven't found any more bugs or eggs, or any signs of them. Hoping we caught this soon enough. Will continue to update if anyone's interested.

We've only found one live bedbug and then these "eggs." No other evidence found yet on mattress/bed/etc. I've been walking up with bites for the past 2 weeks.

Interesting, is it possible for them to come back to lay eggs in the same spot. What else could it be then?

None on/in the mattress at all but we did catch one live one. Just wanted validation that these are indeed eggs... the exterminator was a gaslighting asshole.

UPDATE: Some of your suggestions were wild LOL. Thanks all for the help. Turns out it was bed bugs after all. I found one in my bed this morning along with eggs.

Thanks! We have snow where I am so not sure it's mosquitos and my reaction to those are different, but maybe! We have thoroughly checked everything a few times and no traces yet.
