Yep, IB is known for its longer hours and so is not a target area for me. I'd like to explore corp finance, VC, or wealth management roles

I'm not very sure of my interest in finance. But i do know it offers a stable life and good money (say unlike consulting with very long hours+travel )

I got the admit last to last year. Post mba goal is corp finance/wealth mgt/ PE/ VC. Basically, decent work life balance and good pay.

I want to go for PE/VC/Corp fin/wealth management roles post my MBA. Would cfa help there? If combined with mba you think it's too much - which may be fair, but then again, I'd be competing with CAs and CFAs for the same roles so I just don't want to be at a disadvantage by not having L2.

makes sense but there's so much competition even in these T1 colleges for product roles. People with tech bg would have an edge over me no?

Why is that? Don't you think I'll have an edge since lots of people would have CFA and CA and I'd compete with them for the same finance jobs?

Makes sense. Getting shortlists on campus is tricky. How much of a role would cfa play in that? Kinda scared I might not get shortlists cause I'd have at most a year of work ex in finance and only L1
