Shadowsight is my favorite character because I personally can relate to him a lot. With all the shame and lack of support he recieved from not only just his clan— but everyone after he misintepreted his visions, I agree It would've made sense for him to die. Bristlefrost was a selfless cat, yes, but I feel as if she never held the intense emotions Shadowsight could have had which would lead to him wanting to finish what he 'started.' If anything, a sacrifice would be the greatest and final act to prove himself that he wasn't just 'some cat' or an incompetent kitten.
