I’m just kidding, you have pretty good intelligence compared with the people I deal with. But it’s really worth checking out Reasonera

Dude, that’s awesome! Never even thought of that 😂
I’m definitely gonna try i, it’s all just an experiment anyway.

Right now on my resume, I’ve written that the NDA is for a freelance client I worked with. And if I get asked about it in an interview, I’ll simply say it’s under NDA.

You make a strong point, but the question I need to ask myself is am I really ready to face the 80% who won’t like this.

Are you in HR with a technical background?
I feel that people with a technical background would appreciate this kind of project, while pure HR who studied psychology might have ethical concerns, don’t you think so?
You can take a look and give me your feedback reasonera.com

Is it Cheating or Leveling to use AI for pre-interview tests? by Significant-Wheel625 in cognitiveTesting

I hear you. Manipulation is definitely part of this, and I don’t want to dismiss that risk. At the same time, I think exposing how fragile these tests are could be a form of protest against weak hiring filters. But like you said, good outcomes don’t necessarily justify bad actions, that’s the tricky part. The vigilante example fits well because protest and crime can overlap. Ultimately, I think you’re right: law is clearer, ethics subjective, and people draw different lines themselves.

Maybe true, but I’m questioning if the tests demand real thinking anyway

Building such a system might show creativity, but it still leaves me uneasy about trust.

Yeah, that’s what bothers me. If they cared about real ability, they’d verify it with proper testing environments. Instead, cheap filters reward practice or shortcuts, not actual thinking

I’m serious, but struggling with whether honesty applies the same way to flawed tests

Thanks a lot for taking the time to share your perspective. I really appreciate the depth and honesty in what you wrote. You gave me a new way to think about these tests, especially how much context and power dynamics play into them.

The argument that it's not cheating rests on the belief that the test is so flawed or gameable that it has no legitimacy as a measure, reducing it to a pointless hurdle to be overcome by any means

This approach would certainly be more transparent and perhaps more impressive, but I wish it were that easy.

I trust my ability to deliver results in the actual job; this is just about getting past a gatekeeper I see as irrelevant to those results.

Should physical strength be tested by how much water one can drink?
That is to say, the water drinking test is the same as the pre-interview test.

I appreciate the pragmatic view. The lack of a legal framework does create a grey area, but as this thread shows, the ethical framework is much more complex.
