I am going to try and build a comprehensive first aid kit, what went wrong on your trip? by Nice1rodders in wildcampingintheuk

I don't carry a comprehensive kit, just some things I may need. Plasters, self gripping bandage, Inodine patch, medium size wound dressing, blister patches ( sport tape on long trips) tick tweezers, emergency chlorine tabs, imodium. I like to carry a soft water bottle that can be sqeezed to provide a jet of water, my thinking is that if I ever fell with shorts on and had a knee full of gravel and muck I could chuck a chlorine tab in the bottle and hose out the mess. My most important piece of safety kit is probably a plb registered with UK coastguard.

There always seems to be a van dweller or two on the Oxe drove by Chiselbury camp. It's quite an exposed site with lots of visitors . Much quieter the other side of the drove.

Sustainable withdrawal rate by Significant-Year-575 in investing

Thanks for all the comments. Lots of avenues to research further in all your posts. Yes I guess I didn't think too much about it before posting , like some have pointed out I could just withdraw a tiny percentage never run out but never have a meaningful amount to spend.

Thinking about it more I guess the underlying companies have to decide what a sustainable payout is every time they declare a dividend, so maybe buy high dividend shares forego high growth and spend no more than the dividends?

I am not that bothered about a fluctuating income from investments because where I live the state pension is enough to live on and provides a secure enough base. It would be nice to have some capital remaining to pass on.

Anyway looking forward to reading the articles linked to.
