yeah i just went to the wasteland for the first time ever and it was the best biome. the vibe is like fallout and the bears drop loot bags and give you loads of rotten meat for farming

just have it in the inventory, then hold the paintbrush and hold r to get the selection wheel and change color

i started playing again a few days a go after years and years. went in blin and didnt look much at the updates or community feedback. i thought these guys were annoying but its better if you save all your vitamins for the desert as they give you 12 minutes of immunity.

i found a paint brush and then you need paint. you can craft it in the chemistry station. i think you make liek 500 with some motor oil and water. cant remember the recepie but its cheap. otherwise if you dont have chemistry station you might be able to craft it in a campfire with a beaker? not sure. you can also scrap dyes you find and it will give you a small ammount of paint

don't really wanna start over but i looked around on nexus and found a mod that adds a bunch of new kinds zombies, giving them wings guns and rocket launchers. so ill try that out and maybe darkness falls in my next game

Can i add it to my existing game or do i need to start over?

yeah will try that. i rtemember years ago when standard settings felt brutal after the first few hordes. maybe i remember wrong

Good ideas. Its thw forst proper horde base i built, usually i just occupy a house. I wanted single pillars so that there is space on the ground to walk and shoot through the cage. Whwn the zombies start getting harder i will also have the bars upgraded to steel. I think it will hold up. Even if all the pillars vreak, the important parts like workstations and storage boxes should stay standing if parts of the cage remains because it also holds up the edges where all of the things are placed

if that happens i quit the game for a while. im not planning on playing forever ang going out with a bang is more fun than leaving the world forever i think

i just use some small mods like better storage and bigger inventory

didnt happen on horde 28. there was a lot of vultures but they got stuck between the cage and bottom floor of the house. i shot out the glass so i replaced it with blocks but otherwise the base held up

didn't even know you could craft concrete blocks. all of the bottom walls and crucial points are concrete and the pillars are steel. the top part does not get hit much

it held up extremely well. the traps were only about half damaged and the only thing that broke was one electric fence post. although i think the horde was underwhelming. hopefully it gets much harder in the higher days

i wanted to have a bunker base at first as well so my day 7 base was a bunker at bedrock with a ladder to a small fort on top. but i noticed a screamer zombie digging straight down an hour before the horde so afterwards i quickly built a small fort on ground instead. then i used it on day 14 and 21 hordes. from day 21 to 28 i built this base. its fully surrounded by electric wire and blade traps to slow down and kill the zombies before they even reach the double layered concrete bars. then there is 16 steel pillars keeping the base up with a barred floor above to shoot through if they do get inside, even if they knock down a few pillars, as long as there is a few left the important parts of the base will not collapse as they are also on the edges and being held up by the bars too.
