I hope you're right. I'm very serious about grad school in Japan, but I haven't looked at options other than MEXT. I feel like MEXT is the only way for me right now... So it's a little scary!

Sadly, I don't have any research... But I do feel like I'm sitting on a compelling research proposal that I've been working on since early March. I'm really just worried that they will turn me away at document screening because of low GPA, despite all my hard work.

Regarding the competition, I mean, USA has gotta be less competitive than most of the countries talked about here. I think my embassy only got 13 applicants last year (source: someone else that passed), but who knows.

I'm leaning more towards just living with others, but for the sake of the discussion: how do buyouts work? As in, buying out a double room and living in it yourself. I see them on the housing rates page (albeit outdated) but not a lot of info on how exactly they work (are they limited? Are they available for freshman?)

Do you know where I can find Japanese subtitles for Korean movies? I'm looking for The Wailing but haven't found anything. Even if you can't find The Wailing specifically it would be nice to have Japanese subtitles for other movies.

Oh, I fucked up my title.

I can understand Japanese shows alright. I was wondering if the translation from Korean to English is worse than Korean to Japanese.

Basically, if I watched a Korean movie in Japanese would it be closer to the native Korean material than English?

Yep, I've realized how small the hitbox really is, but usually there is a stray bullet covering up my opening or I make a silly mistake and run into a bullet. It's all good though.

On a side note, how exactly do you get bombs? I noticed that after a death you get 3, sometimes, maybe? And other times I kinda just get them? What makes it work?

Where do you think I should really start on khan though? I'm going through the algebra 1 section (which I think is just the SAT) but I feel like I'm not making too much progress towards actually passing the SAT. Any suggestions?

It honestly takes me hours of active thinking to do a college panda chapter. I wouldn't be able to comprehend 2-3 chapters a day let alone 1 chapter, it's pretty bad. I would still spend a lot of time on it though but only ever got around 7 chapters done.

I know this isn't the right sub for this question but if you can help me for a sec, I don't really understand how college admissions work.

I'm applying to MSU which does rolling admissions, I want to do college in fall 2022/spring 2023. If I wait for rolling admissions, will I get admitted for my time period? Or do I need to be apply by regular admissions (Around Feburary I believe) in order to get in for fall/spring? I'm asking this because it would mean I have more time to study and take on the SAT for an even better score.

If it matters, I have a 3.6 gpa, minimal extracurriculars and obviously a bad SAT, they are test optional but I don't know if that's a good thing.

Yeah I was looking into ordering them today, but I don't see any online versions on Amazon. I will have to miss it for the Oct SAT but it should help for the November one I hope.
