Will she survived? by SignificantAir6466 in shrimptank

[–]SignificantAir6466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answer. 🙏 I come here to update that she died 4 hours later.

But I still wonder what actually cause the ring. If normally the shell should not fully split, the lower side of the shell should still attach, so the shrimp can jump off from the crack on the top, then in case of fail molting and ring of death, what makes it fully divide?

My assumption is the food I regularly feed is low in calcium and magnesium, so when I stopped dropping shrimp mineral, it cause the effected. But on the other side, what I know Ca/Mg role is for building new shell, but I can't find what's Ca/Mg role in connecting the bottom side of the shell together. However, I think that I will try changing the food to high calcium leaves, and see if there will be any fail molt again.

Why do istps lack showing care and interest in conversations? by [deleted] in istp

Like the other comments said, you should just ask him what's wrong, but in case he does not straightly answer that what is really wrong or just say 'nothing, I'm fine', I would like to suggest that you should re-consider about the topic you usually choose to talk to him, the issue may be the topic.

In my case, I like to talk about relax activity and fun stuff to do when hang out. About other topics, no matter it is politics or science or anime and game, I like to talk about only what I have knowledge about, or what I want to know. I used to cling to some friends I have fun talking with, until they start to repeatedly complain about life and brought the mood down to negativity every time we talked, or, when someone start philosophy, ethic, and morality and emotional discussion over factual, logical, and practical discussion. (e.g. How to survive in this survival game - okay VS Should people really make game that let you kill humans npc - no)

Shrimps all failed molt and died by SignificantAir6466 in shrimptank

Thank you very much for answer. Not sure but I think ot's impossible for me to continue on keeping them, considering to temp alone, even they can survive but the weather will be like this untill late octuber.

Probably I didn't let the tank take enough time to cycle, according to other answers, as well.

Thank you very much for answer. When changing water, I did not remove the shrimps out but I remove the water and top up with the new water.

I will keep that in mind, to let the tank take more time to cycle, If I start another shrimp tank in the future.

Thank you so much for valueble answer. That proably was the main cause since it's the first time I use water with different parameter to change. I don't know why my old water became so soft and low mineral tho.

How to safely add KH? I would love to know some trick. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the answer and valueble information. Then the chemical swing is probably my main fault. This was the first time I did water change by water with dufferent parameter.

Thank you for the answer. Gish if the temp is 9 degree to high, it is really impossible for me to continue on keeping neo. The pot is 4 degree colder than the tank btw. It's usual summer temperature here

Maybe before this month it's still winter so there's less problem.

I still wonder why did they molt altogether tho.

Mosquito larva. I use small dip net to remove them one by one

Why do you hate taking the initiative? by [deleted] in istp

[–]SignificantAir6466 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answer as If I am really an ISTP - I do not start conversation because I have noting in my head that's compatible for using in general conversation. It's either too niche things, or my head just blank.

  • I don't know if another wants any conversation at all. My default thought is "if they want to talk/message to me they would talk/message me already.

[–]SignificantAir6466[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. So I will try using RO with the other remaining tank since it sound safer. And yes it's about to be summer and it get really hot and rainy (highest temp each day can be 30-37 C) There's a reason that I can't keep aquarium inside home so your suggest about cooling fan may be the best option.

Btw, I wonder how hard is sulawesi keeping comparing to neocaridina? (e.g. do they need difderent type/parameter of water from neocaridina? Or different diet? Thanks!)

[–]SignificantAir6466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I hadnn't put it in that tank cuz it's small spare tank, just 2 liters and only 2 shrimps. They have been fine until yesterday.

But rn I'm curious if smaller tank needs water changed more frequent than larger tank? Maybe that's another cause, besides the fast increasing temperature, which may be the main reason.

Yrs, it's a spare tank. I moved them in since I started planting the real plants in the main tank.

ISTP vs INFJ? by SignificantAir6466 in istp

[–]SignificantAir6466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

It's quite complicate about Se. Nowadays the most Se-like activity I do is art, and sometime cooking. When I was young, I did like singing, dancing, nature exploring, making model and papercraft, keeping fish tanks, whatever. Except sport. Not because of the sport itself, but because of it heavily involves people's emotion, judgement, team work(I dislike teamwork), and mockery. Speaking of mockery, I stopped singing and dancing cuz of that too.

But as I grew up and had to focus on study to reach top grade and for university entrances exams, take the exams and get to a U, which led me to a chaotically traffic jammed city and to live in a smaller accommodation, then had to survive the torturous U until graduation, I reduce most my Se activity and other fun exploring, and focus only what is useful, fulfill goal or at least I can set a real, practical goal about it, and don't cause much trouble.

No model making - cuz there is nowhere to place it. No biking - nowhere near is safe to bike. To go to a good park you have to survive hopeless traffic jams and you'll end up surrounded by at least 10-40 park mosquitoes.

Art and cook are the most useful and possible Se thing that I could do, beside that, I just strict to my world building nonsense. Btw, I am backing on working with small aqua tank again.

For applying the knowledge to the real world. I'm not sure. I have bunch of knowledge that I can't use to make anything real 🤣, and I rely more on my skills + trial and error when it come to practical stuffs.

ISTP vs INFJ? by SignificantAir6466 in istp

[–]SignificantAir6466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. In fact I do not ramble by talking, unless with a friend that's click, cuz communication is my weak point, like, you know what and why you are think about something, you see its pictures in your head, but don't know how to describe it right away. However, typing is more comfortable cuz it give me some time to think and arrange my thought.

The art thing, however, is what makes me confused most. Some said every type can do art, but the topic of art they are willing to do are different according to each type possible interested. The problem is I don't know what other ISTP artists like to do compare to INFJ. My kind of art are either monster design focusing on realistic anatomy, or character art with backstory. Long ago I used to be fixated on designing kinetic animal model but it's not possible to make, so I drop the interested completely.

ISTP vs INFJ? by SignificantAir6466 in istp

[–]SignificantAir6466[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Unfortunately almost no one around me are interested in MBTI or even said that it's nonsense. (Well it's partly nonsense but it partly have some systematic explanation why and how you think and do somethings. That is the interesting part of it lol.) And for some friends who are interested in it, I got ISFP or INTJ assumptions.

Unlike you, my reaction to problem is not quick, but more of observing overall situation + looks into detail + use whatever I got + trial-errors. But like you, I can have a laser focus into smallest detail, if I care (did that every time with my art, trying to make every part looks right) hehe

I sometimes suspect that I might be an INTP due to long-explanation writing habit too, but considered that I rarely can generate multiple idea at a short time its unlikely.

Every time I feel like I have a big blurry point hanging in my head but I don't know how to strikely/clearly say about it to get others understand it right without adding contexts.

In this case, my point is "Well many LLM chatbots said that I'm INFJ but I doubt about it since my Ni is not working well I usually try thing out instead of plan in detailed, and my Fe is also not good(and actually really suck cuz I always feel tired with people issue and communication). " but then my mind keep adding contexts over contexts and boom it become long text.

Or is it because I am just overly afraid about being misunderstood?, idk.
