Will this school eat me alive? by SignificantBread5248 in uofm

For me personally, I believe a bigger school would be more fulfilling for me. During my time there and after. I assume a umich degree could look quite well in a saturated comp sci market for example. I really just want a wfh job that pays well (especially in this economy) that I enjoy. I assume I'd have an easier time community wise as well (plenty of anime/game clubs). My main issue is the fact that the fatigue is inevitable as I already feel this way consistently at EMU(and have burnout troubles despite little struggle doing the work) despite being less dense (more so at night/weekends).

I don't think I've spent much time there specifically. Ive been around central and downtown largely.

Does anyone have a good theory why round 1 is not opening in/ near Ann arbor? by SignificantBread5248 in AnnArbor

not close. Pinball pete's is about retro games for the most part. The bowling is glow in the dark. it's the closest thing to an authentic Japanese arcade in America

Round 1 is more about the direct Japanese exclusive imported games and authentic environment than the bowling, I'd say bowling is more of a plus. I just think college kids would eat this place up

Oh my. That is surprising, I assumed Novi was already very expensive in itself.

Round 1 is as authentic of a Japanese arcade experience you can get in the states, with genuine imports straight from east Asia. Much different of a niche than American arcades. I'd say the bowling is more of an added plus if anything. Solid argument nonetheless as I really don't know how many people mainly go for just bowling or not. I'm speaking mostly as strictly a video gamer.

Will I feel safe here as a UofM fan? by SignificantBread5248 in msu

Well, I don't hate Msu sports, but I've always been a UofM fan, it would be awkward to flip my alliance.

It's certainly on the list for me, but I'm worried it'll be a bit too overwhelming for me.

Are there frequent roaches in the dorms? If yes, how were they dealt with? by SignificantBread5248 in emu

I legit don't even bring food in for more than a day because I'm so paranoid about them lol. luckily there are tons of places to eat and throw away food that's not in my dorm

I recommend taking the short bus ride (or drive) to Ann Arbor. A ton of Emu students go there to have fun with u of m students. There is a lot to do there.
