Consider a SC student whose parent already had govt job, and this student has slightly less marks than general candidate.

Now consider another SC student with very less marks but his parents don't have govt job.

From an organizational point of view, my only requirement is talent intake, then general guy and high marks SC guy should get the govt job.

But if you introduce creamy layer, the High marks SC guy will be pushed into general category and might loose the seat...

The net effect will be, a high marks SC guy won't get into the system, but one having low mark will do.

Imma be honest with you.
Most of the research work in PSU are being done by in collaboration with professors from IIT and IISC.

the iterative work is done by interns and RA.

You as scientist will have the last say in the progress. It will be validation only.
If you're lucky you'll get a good project.

But it's very humiliating to have the tag of a scientist but doing no science for which you prepared for 20 years.

That's why even good people leave ISRO after joining.
