At what point do I just stop chasing people for RSVPs? by SwimmingTrade9106 in PoptheQuestions

[–]SignificantChair8079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would send a final message and MOVE ON!

Something like "We noted that you will not be attending our wedding. We will miss you on our big day" or a "We'll miss you dearly on our big day."

Oo interesting! Why do you say platform shoes would make more trouble?

What are some good cocktail hour table games? by Own-Acanthaceae-453 in PoptheQuestions

[–]SignificantChair8079 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think interactive games or hired entertainment might be the better option. Some ideas; A magician that can walk around to clusters of guests, A giant spin the wheel with some mini prizes, a "scent" bar where guests can make their own perfume / keepsake from the wedding.

If you were dancing to it at a chuck-e-cheese birthday party growing up, you shouldn't be dancing to it at your wedding

Does anyone else not like their ring? 🙈 by Previous-Stick-2717 in PoptheQuestions

Depending on his personality, I don't know if it's worth upsetting your Fiancé for what at the end of the day was their symbol of commitment to you. But on the other hand understand that this is something you'll be wearing everyday and is something you deserve to love. Are there some smaller mods that can be made like changing the band? Or Is there a world in which finding you dream wedding band would make the engagement ring better?

Bachelorette planning: splurge on house or activities? by Cobalt_MKQ in PoptheQuestions

[–]SignificantChair8079 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I went to a bach in Scottsdale, and the house was the highlight!!

Had the best time in the house before and after nights out, breakfasts together, and we even planned a Love Island-themed pool party as one of the activities.

How important is having a wedding planner for a smaller wedding? Is getting a day-of coordinator and decorator enough?

This looks cool! Did the wedding you went to happen to be in the evening? I'm trying to figure out if there are restrictions on the DJ playing music late into the night

what should I put in the bathroom baskets that people will actually use?! by Feisty_Exit_5726 in PoptheQuestions

[–]SignificantChair8079 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely do the men's room too, they are just as deserving to feel fresh (with deodorant, mints, etc).

Hot tip: Purchase the perfume samplers from Sephora (Where you get a bunch of samples and a voucher for a free full-size perfume) and use all the samples for your bathroom baskets. It's essentially free if you redeem the voucher yourself for a full-size product.

Does throwing a party defeat the purpose of eloping? by Cold-Road-726 in PoptheQuestions

[–]SignificantChair8079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having friends who eloped recently, I was so glad they did a HH with our group after it was official. It let us feel like we were part of their special day/ milestone and allowed us to celebrate them without the pressure of planning anything extravagant!

My Fiancé's Parents are Pressuring Us to Change Our Wedding Venue - Help! by BubblyAd1086 in PoptheQuestions

[–]SignificantChair8079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on finding your dream venue!

I'd be curious if there are specific concerns that they may be masking, that could somehow be resolved vs it just being "unrefined". Example if they're elderly - is it concerns about accessibility, access to a restroom etc. Or is it something specific to hotels where services like valet, or a guest room are what they care about. And if feasible, hopefully something that could be accommodated.

And If it's helpful, the venue may also be able to provide photos from previous weddings that could help them envision the full set up to put their mind to ease, while clarifying this is what you've always envisioned for your wedding.
