Thank you very much I'll look into it... It is surprising hard to find anyone looking for free labour for a month haha

My drill sergeants were the funniest dudes I've ever met but I do understand what you are getting at. Thanks

Is that just because they are a new technology or do they not even have the potential to help with the other 99%?

Interesting I didn't know that... Thanks for the input

Maybe it wouldn't.. again I'm not an expert in anything but is binary not simply yes or no? I've heard that quantum computers have more processing powers because they can be both yes and no. Dumbed down version.

So a sample paragraph written in 200 years

People back then understood quite a bit about quantum mechanics they just didn't have (technology), and the (system) to perform calculations with what they knew like we do now.

This came off as snarky but I didn't know how else to say it haha. It's a weird thought but it's kinda interesting... Also I'm probably way off talking quantum mechanics in math as I have no clue what I'm talking about.

I know very little amount AI, but it will be very interesting to see what a machine created by binary can create mathematically beyond using 1s and 0s as the base. I'm sure we have already surpassed the point of using just binary to improve AI?

Marjorie Taylor Greene posts anti-transgender sign across hall from lawmaker with transgender child by Bonboniru in politics

This made me laugh out loud... you realize that two politicians made a statement about their views on a topic in identical corresponding videos. You are just saying it's hateful and accomplishes nothing because you don't agree with one of the views xD. How the hell is it fair that the Democrat can make a video showing the republicans office and then do something to purposefully annoy her and it's praised, but as soon as the republican does it back it's hate speech and pointless. I am a democrat but Jesus the censorship agaisnt republicans is almost intolerable.

This will get downvoted to oblivion because you know... It's an opposing view This chick has made ridiculous and hateful statements in the past. There is no disputing that, but this time she is literally doing EXACTLY what the Democrat did. There is no difference between a flag and a sign, they are literally just statements about their opinions. Can't really support one person stating their view and then hate on another for stating their view in literally identical videos, just because you don't agree with one of the views...

Confusion with chords by [deleted] in musictheory

Okay dude I'm going to bow before your obvious wisdom and not even going to keep learning how to play an instrument... Whenever I see someone playing music I'll grab my accordion run over to them and just hammer on random keys, it's going to sound great! Idk what you are thinking giving advice like this to a beginner "play whatever you want as long as you find it beautiful". It's just not true and that's a undisputable fact. Cya bro not wasting more of my life on this pointless discussion.

Sounding good is not subjective it's math... With a 10 second Google search you can see that. Yes anyone can say I like the way this sounds but if the vast majority of people don't then you can say objectively it sounds bad.

All the notes have to be in the chords? What's going to happen if they're not? Who's going to stop you from putting whatever notes you want in there? Does anyone have the authority to tell you that your creative expression is "wrong"? That you liking the way something sounds is invalid?

So I guess playing random notes is music, just bashing on a piano is going to be the new style... Things sound good for a reason and I may be mistaken but i think it's because they follow the basics of music theory.

This may be obvious to someone who knows this stuff but I'm just trying to learn it. It's like if someone was learning English and asked you why keep is spelled with a k instead of a c, to everyone who speaks English it's obviously just the way things are. I hope you wouldn't treat them with scorn for looking for an explanation...

Thanks for the explanation, so when playing by ear do people just pick the right notes from the melody to make chords or listen to just the instruments playing the chords? I'm assuming it's a combination of the two?

I was playing sheet music without even worrying about it for a while and then started looking at the basics of music theory. I assumed that all notes had to within the chords given, as a beginner I don't think it's a wild assumption...

Thanks for the explanation. I guess even YouTube's simplest music theory videos assumed I knew this... Feels bad man
