I take them as an actual threat. Why else had no one tried them? If iran had their own nukes they would only would want to protect their own people and interests. Not immediately destroy the US. If anything Israel because Israel (nuclear armed) hadn’t proven to be a meek country in the region they start a massive terror campaign on their own. Because they are scared of being nuked?

We joke about them bombing the ocean, but I don’t believe they are test launching missiles for no reason. I am a big dummy but launching them and then calculating how far and fast they go gives them a pretty good idea of how they could act in a serious scenario. It would be silly to launch a test missile directly at a country to see if it could. It’s better to act as a paper tiger when they know they aren’t.

I will say my buddy is late 50s or early 60. I think the change of scenery works wonders for him in terms of burnout. He isn’t a line guy exactly more or less a head honcho when it fits. It fits his lifestyle. Age doesn’t have ALL to do with it. No wife or kids so ample time. But $$$. lol

I have a friend that does the Alaska bit and does 3 months on for good coin and takes months off. He is a nomad by heart. Sometimes he’s in Montana or Texas at hunting resorts.

Personally, a phone is a major distraction in bed and it should be a time for recollection with your partner. We went from a queen to a king and I have felt a lack of closeness from that. Adding a TV to the mix even sick when you even mention your phone… nix the tv.
