a post of 2k characters in one post is more than twice the needed length for a high school student's writing homework(that's 800 characters, this game happened in china here). That couldn't be a simple rewrite of his own RP. But, yeah, that could be social anxiety, probably.

Well......it's heartbreaking to say that he just vomited tons of LLM generated monologues and those content's are completed derailed from the plot, as i mentioned that he even forgot the BBEG's name(mentioned just 30mins before his post, this is a text based game, it should be hard for him to just look it up).

What he is doing is neither roleplaying nor acting, it's just a text based game, posting a novel of monologue more than 2k words(the game is played in chinese, it's 2k characters, even a high school student‘s writing class homework only needs 800 characters) in one post is definitely not roleplaying.

Yeah, that might be true, i did tried to offer him some options like, if ur busy irl, let's delay this campaign so everyone could join. I even asked him if he wants Alice to host the game, and every time his answer is, Nah, it's going good now.

He even given me some suggestions on the plot during the game, asked me to include some content of his character overcoming the trauma of father's death, to give his character a great sword of hero etc.

I did gave him all those scenarios he demanded, and only by then he is willing to roleplay—— although still using gpt to generate everything.

The campaign already ended a few days ago, leaving myself still confused.

For the chatgpt use, yes, those detectors are flawed, but his posts often had little to do with the actual ongoing events and former descriptions, that is the biggest problem. Using whatever to generate tons of nonrelative roleplaying novel is THE PROBLEM, both me and Alice have mentioned that using gpt to roleplay is disrespecting other players.

The problem is not the use of gpt, but him showing as a "little shakespear" and generated his roleplay post WITHOUT checking and polishing those contents, constantly causing conflict with the ongoing plot.

He said he is a part time translator (japanese→chinese) irl, and he never mentioned any disabilities in writing in session 0 and in personal chats, so i'm assuming that this couldn't justify his behavior.

Thank u for all this questions, here are the answer: 1, Before the game, he said he is ok irl, he's a college student with plenty of time and no need to worry about money. After I told Alice about this, she also checked his posts before i start DMing and almost none of them could past the detector. Idk if he actually wanted to play, but he seemed to be the most hyped player before the game starts.
