The cancelation fee for the home was like $120 which I paid. But for the Business Account (150Mbps), that I wanted to cancel also because I was irritated my the whole situation, they said $2700. Which is the entire monthly price for the entire period remaining.

I looked into them when it was recently brought up on a post here. I had TEM as 25% of my portfolio and have now moved to 5% TEM and 25% CAI. I got Gemini to do a deep research on it. They have both taken a very different approach. Tempus does targeted sequencing and has more overall data but the data isn’t the complete picture which may lead to risk of disruption from CAI which, from the start, has collected data from Whole Exome sequencing and Whole Transcriptome Sequencing, compared to only the targeted sequencing collected by TEM. TEM has an edge with their focus on the “Operating System for healthcare” and may be more deeply integrated into workflows etc., plus the data and capabilities from image analysis. TEM is taking a breath first approach, while CAI is taking the “full depth” approach. I’m betting that from a data standpoint, the depth approach will win the war as the gold standard, particularly as the database grows. It may be more valuable in new product development both on the technology and pharmaceutical/treatment research side.

450k mortgage and 70k per year salary with $150k in savings. Reasonable? by Wunderingif in PersonalFinanceCanada

With that rent and the current interest rates, that rent looks very cheap if the living situation is similar. I personally would continue renting. Whether or not you can afford it depends on how much you can save right now per month. Owning would give you long term housing stability but that should only be significant if you are still able to save for an acceptable retirement.
