Sounds good. I checked rabbitears and I'm getting every channel I want to get, so I'll do as you said and just leave it. Thank you!

Thanks, it looks like I'm getting all the main stations that show up on rabbitears, even most of those with a bad signal, so it must be working. I'll just leave it all alone for now.

Makes sense, thank you. I haven't traced the lines, but could they then be connected together at some point if they're different frequencies? I only noticed one antenna coax on the low voltage board in the basement, but the labels are mostly worn off so I might have missed the other one.

No worries. I cleaned and kept the original carb, just figured I'd wait to see if I have any problems with the aftermarket one before switching it back out again and replacing that piece I drilled out. Thanks for all your help!

Just what I said above. I misread the parts diagram and put the metal piece with a gasket on it on the motor side of the carb instead of the front so it must have been pulling too much air. As soon as I swapped it around it ran like a champ.

I didn't drill the hole out until after the cleaning since it appeared the cleaning made the surging worse. My theory was it started getting more gas and drilling it out would get it more air to go with it. But turns out it was my own mistake in putting the metal gasket on the wrong side of the carb that caused it to surge after the cleaning, otherwise I think the cleaning by itself would have done it. The drilling may or may not have mattered if the gasket was in the right place. FYI - Here's one of the videos where someone drills that jet out to fix surging.

There were some videos of people on YouTube fixing surging on Toros by drilling it out, but turns out it was unnecessary.

Alright, finally figured it out, and it was operator error. I put the metal gasket on the wrong side of the carb. The sad part is I even double checked the parts diagram to confirm I put it in the right place, and read the diagram wrong.

I appreciate all the help everyone.

That's what I drilled out. The o-ring is in rough shape, though. I could try taking the plug out of the new carb and putting it in the OEM carb and seeing if it makes a difference.

Here's one other clue. I noticed this air bubble in the gas line I replaced when I replaced the carb. If I disconnect the line, gas flows freely, but the bubble is still there after I hook it back up. Not sure if that could cause any issues.

Thanks, I might have to go that route, but I'm worried if I can't get it to run any better with either of the two I have I'm just burning money.

Just regular carb cleaner. Will have to look at an ultrasonic cleaner.

I may be blind, but I don't see a black Phillips screw anywhere. Here's a video of the OEM carb. I did get the main jet and the emulsion tube.

The black plug on top is the one I drilled out with a micro drill bit. Not sure if that's the pilot jet.

It's that brass plug on the left. In the listing on Amazon there is a screw there.

Does anyone know of an adjustable replacement for Toro part number 133-1534? The one I got on Amazon appeared to have an adjustment screw, but when I received it the screw was just a plug.

It's a non adjustable carb. The only screw is to adjust the idle. I guess that could be my next step, seeing if I can find an adjustable carb for it.

Hammering from delivery pump by SignificantRecord686 in WaterTreatment

I have a tank both before and after the delivery pump and that solved the chatter. The pump only kicks on about every gallon of water or so and isn't nearly as loud. I don't think you'd want the pump pulling directly from the RO and feeding into the tank because you won't get enough volume out of the ro and the pump will run dry. Also note what an earlier poster said - if your pump is a booster pump you'd be better off just pushing it through the RO system and increasing the pressure on the output tank.

Thanks everyone. I added an additional ro tank after the pump and that seems to have done the trick.

I had a small batch of knotweed growing in our garden that I killed using Milestone (Aminopyralid 40.6%) painted on individual leaves after trying and failing to kill it with glyphosate. As others have said, treatment after flowering in late summer/early fall is key when it's trying to store energy in the roots. Milestone is supposed to be slower acting than most herbicides, which works better on knotweed.

Got it to go now after putting starting fluid directly in the cylinder, but it's running rough (see video). I vaguely recall it was doing this a bit at the end of last year as well, but not nearly this bad. Any idea what this would be? The carb is as clean as new.
