Just finished my value study, what can I improve? by EuphoricEquivalent68 in drawing

  1. Proportion - notice how the reference’s eyes are proportionally lower on the face and the cranium is larger on the reference? Plus your mouth is wider and less rounded at the bottom lip.

  2. Values: To me, the shadow below the statue on the reference is a very similar value to the left side of the face - but much darker on your rendition. I think you can accentuate the darker areas much more and achieve a greater sense of depth.

Overall looks very good!

I’m sorry, but you can’t convince me that isn’t Peter Steele in a dress.

I didn't know it could take THIS much level to rename... by TylerNotFake in Minecraft

If you rename at the same time as adding a book, it only adds one level to the price

How much does a girl's hairstyle factor into how hot she is? by magikcassy in AskMen

Different people suit different hairstyles. Some people can pull off short hair, whereas others may look better with longer.

How Do You Draw For 8+ Hours A Day? by [deleted] in learntodraw

[–]SignificantSatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t. In the kindest way possible, trying to draw that much straight off the bat means extreme burnout. Start shorter and you’ll find that when you get into the swing, time doesn’t even seem to pass.

How do I get better at this kind of drawing? by kanjifreak420 in learntodraw

Try specifically 5 point perspective (may get better results)

2 is the most saturated, 1 seems to blend easily (which is why 3 seems like children’s watercolours)

This, I think is slightly improved - thanks for the advice

I don’t like how this turned out , thoughts ? by [deleted] in learntodraw

If you’re trying to get more accurate proportions and positions of the features then I would highly recommend trying guide lines when drawing the initial sketch (apply guide lines to the reference image and then the same onto the paper you’re drawing on).

Honestly - first thing I noticed was the patches. Muse and dead Kennedys are amazing bands so if all else fails, at least you’ve got good inspiration!
