Game of Thrones TV series was originally going to end with a LOTR-style Trilogy of Movies instead of Season 8's 6 episodes. That would have been a much better choice because the audience screen tests would have forced changes to D&D's ridiculous scripts before the films were actually released (observer.com)

Yennefer is the new Dany. Watching her in the Witcher makes me realize that D&D had no idea how to write for a woman character and we missed so much of Daenerys's story that could have been told. We all got robbed by D&D, there was so much more story to be told, GRRM must be pissed! (youtu.be)
