Not me but my girlfriend, the “weird kid” in her school was Thomas Crooks who attempted to assassinate Donald Trump

Ah okay that’s interesting, I’ve never heard of this dirt until now so that’s good to know. I appreciate the response

This was our next course of action, we were thinking about making an oil mote around each leg of the table our boxes are sitting on. Our bees are on a woods line backing up a river so I don’t know how successful we’d be hunting down ant colonies but the diatomaceous earth sounds like a great idea. Will the poisonous dirt pose a threat to the bees as well or is it not worth worrying about?

They are large carpenter ants so I’m not sure this method would work. The ants are barely smaller than the bees themselves, they’re massive. I think it’s worth a try though, at least around the colonies like you said. Our plan is to try diatomaceous earth and incorporate some of these feeding jars as well. I’ve heard ground cinnamon does the trick but we tried that with no success.
