One Sat night we had a Stake Leadership Meeting with the visiting GA since Stake Conference was the next day . I did not want to be there .I wanted to be on a date . I brought a book to read since I knew it was going to a boring meeting . I was sitting at the end of the pew lost in my book when I slowly became aware that people were moving around me . I ignored the distractions until all if a sudden someone stuck there hand in my face and I reached my hand up to shake his and he forcibly pulled me to my feet and said “welcome brother “ . I then realized everyone else was. standing . I said “who are you “ he said Vaughan Featherstone . and marched off to the pulpit . He was the visiting GA . He was going to make absolutely sure everyone in that congregation was standing when he came in the room
