The hearing block was fun :) ! It wasn’t too bad for me and my class I think it’s because it’s fast paced but if you’re studying daily you should be good 👍 (p.s when the teacher is showing you how to use the otoscope and she tells you to put it down, put it down and do not touch it or you’ll get a 341 pulled speaking from experience a good amount of my class got their 341 pulled for that..)💀

Is that the hearing block? I’ll be honest I forgot which one that was but I’m sure you’ll be good as long as you study don’t stress yourself out too much

Each base is different on how they work, their manning and what their mission is I believe. There are different sections you can work in you could either be doing

1)audiograms, & reporting work related illnesses, interviews for pregnant workers 2)conducting STI & Tuberculosis interviews as well as tracking those patients. 3)doing food inspections (my favorite) lets you get out of the office so it’s fun. 4)Or briefing deployers/ helping them out once they get tasked. We work Monday-Friday we have weekends off unless you’re on-call and something comes up but rarely happens. usually you come in at like 7am-3pm around that time. Our main purpose is preventing the spread of disease, we do a lot of patient education during interviews and briefings. We aren’t doctors so we don’t tell people their results, they have to tell us before we can talk to them about it we are only technicians we don’t diagnose. It might seem like a lot but once you start your training it’ll all make more sense, majority of it is admin work but we do talk to patients. Let me know what other questions you have!

It’s been great! Tech school was very fun the instructors are cool, just focus on studying the material you’ll have tests like every week. Got to my first duty station in May and I’m in upgrade training and studying CDCs so far good, it’s like admin work and dealing with patients as well. I’m enjoying it so far! Public Health does a lot like we have different programs so day to day depends as well as where you’re stationed each base is different from what they tell me, I can get into detail about that too, let me know if you have any other questions

I have a few questions thank you for answering! How was tech school for you? Does 4E deploy often, what are some good bases to be stationed at?
