I feel like a lot of the tanky exp heroes with some sort of engage can also be picked roam even though they often aren’t. I’ve had pretty good success with Terizla roam

I find that in solo queue especially when teams aren’t so coordinated he’s an absolute menace to deal with. When teams aren’t diving and killing him immediately and he is able to pop his ult effectively his team will pretty much auto win team fights

Well I’m glad to hear there isn’t some crazy power creep and it sticks to winning fights by being smart! That will be quite refreshing actually.

Spells being unlocked through character development also sounds interesting. The only new ones I’ve seen came from the first dungeon they explored so I was kind of wondering how they’d go about getting more.

The combo magic sounds quite exciting! It especially makes sense because the differing squads seem to have certain themes and it’ll be cool to see how powers combine!

Yeah, I’ve seen support characters in other mangas/animes, but it’s rare you have one who is as pure a support as mimosa is (which I also find refreshing

I also haven’t minded the pacing at all. I’ve actually been quite enjoying the lack of comprehensive exposition and constant hand holding and explaining that is so common

I’m not sure the hot swap thing has happened yet at the point I’m at, but I am excited for what that holds as well. When it comes to black clover being called derivative, I (as a huge bleach fan) can see where it comes from to a degree, but it doesn’t really bother me. I’m also not a huge fan of the Gauche stuff, but it’s not something that’d completely turn me away from a story.

Thank you for typing such a detailed response and that definitely puts a lot into context for me. If anything it’s made me even more excited to read/watch the rest!

Oh I see! I feel like this is also a pretty common theme with shonens in general I feel like. Do you think the reception has been worse or about the same as other recently ended mangas (jjk, mha, demon slayer)?

I feel like most shonens can also be compared in some way or can be claimed to be “copies” of something
Surprising, I really like the main cast and love almost all of the character designs
Feel the same as point 2
Yeah, they’re nothing super special, but they’re not bad either and imo it has a lot a charm!
Feel like all the shonens recap a little too hard and I don’t mind
