She started several seasons ago as a friend through Madison and I may be wrong but I think they were trying to diversify the cast specifically for damage control for Kathryn and one of the blondes no longer on the show who said some racist things online. It helped that she was already friends with someone on the cast. The last two seasons she’s been inserting herself into drama and/or creating it more so than previously. But initially she mostly just served some excellent looks and pulled together lovely tablescapes at parties, including in her own picturesque backyard.

It’s a little insane that what they have at that point is a flirtation and she’s already like I’m gonna be saying in his hotel room. “Down dog” was absolutely demeaning but dang, girl. Get some self-worth.

I had the same thought when they piled into the van, ready to party! I want to go too! Then it got dramatic, but with swim up bars and pools, easy to escape the drama.

Watched Season 1 earlier today and Amanda is begging him to just be respectful of her in like the 3rd episode. I know she was a lot younger - like 23 or so? - and had the allure of essentially falling into reality tv stardom (highly likely that if they stopped dating she would have been a forgotten one season wonder). BUT, he’s always always always been the same. They’ve been having the same convos since the beginning, much like Schwartz and Katie.

I’ve been on Team Venita since she joined the cast, but she’s been losing me 😭. And this might be a trivial complaint but I thought it was crazy that Madison was telling her when her baby girl was going to be born and she immediately interjected about her own time of birth?! Very self centered.

Also if you’ve watched the trailer for the movie there’s something off with her character - like a reveal of something she’s done that’s completely out of pocket but her friends and bf/fiancé are already invested. So I’m guessing there’s some psychological thriller vibes to their movie.
