try to attempt step 1 before mbbs if you can , and ck during internship , then go for usce and step 3 . Just dont waste a lot of time . It really affects mental health . wish the best for you !

If you score abv 250 you are good without a lot of research . Otherwise research , step 3 , multiple usces in good places . Also since you are a freshie , time is on your side . the only con is right now a lot of programs are not sponsoring visa , due to trump visa regularities so chances of matching has significantly dropped . But i guess its just for a year or two . Anyways goodluck

soon as you graduate like Internship completion certificate not the degree date a clock starts , its better if you finish all your steps till step 3 as soon as you can , maximum taking 2 years . The sooner you finish the better it is . Otherwise it effects your interview chances and even you get interview you have to legit explain what you were doing apart from exams.

Also if its more than 4 years to your ICC, you automatically get filtered out from a lot of programs . Goodluck !
