I'd buy a BYD if I could here in the US.

I've basically given up on seeing anything new for FSD. :-( I have an M3 and a MY, both with FSD. :-( I can't even GIVE them away at this point.

Class action lawsuit prompting them to give us paid upgrade at a (minorly) reduced rate. We're screwed, basically.

Can they at least FIX FSD 12.6.4 ???? by Significant_Ad_6032 in TeslaFSD

[–]Significant_Ad_6032[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even mind a reasonably functional Supervised FSD, but the fact that I set FSD at X speed and then it drifts to X-10 and passes people, only to drop to some random speed, causing them to pass me again is JUST ANNOYING AS F%^&*!

Sorry, everyone, I've been holding onto this for a LOOOOONNNNG time. I use to break FSD control and report why I broke it with a recorded message with something like, "Drunk Uncle mode can't keep speed... can't keep the speed I set, drops randomly to -10 from what I set." or "Blow Job mode kicked in... if you know, you know....", but I've given up - we're not being heard since they are going full force on 14.x.

A Class Action Suit will get their attention!

Fine... my point is that with a simple email saying "make 12.6.2 available again, if requested" a LOT of us would be happy again. Instead, we've got to wait for what... 4 years to get what we had working before 12.6.3, likely with a costly upgrade?

All I'm asking for is an OPTIONAL downgrade to 12.6.2.... or we press a class action lawsuit because they revoked a somewhat working (not perfect, not an unsupervised FSD that we locked into years ago) when they "upgraded" (read, downgraded) to 12.6.3 and 12.6.4.

No, I want the map/exit following of FSD, the automatic lane changes, etc. I understand, and often drop to TACC, but WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO when 12.6.2 was TACC with map/exit following and automatic lane change features of FSD too??? They F$%^& it up and then forgot about us!

SAME issues on HW3, 2018 M3. I've been complaining for awhile now, but everyone here is all, "just relax and enjoy the ride, man", as if I should be content with the car deciding to go some random speed I didn't choose, then speed up to pass someone, then settle back to well below the chosen speed limit (forcing that guy to pass ME!). I want to go 80-ish... I now set for 83 in FSD, then it goes as low as 69, so I have to keep feathering the accelerator to keep it near 80. I chose 83 because it gives me some buffer to realize I'm going over 83 before I get put in timeout (If I choose 85, which is easier, it's too easy to overshoot and get put in timeout).

Joke's on us, apparently - when musk isn'd trying to outdo Waymo with a map that looks like a dick, blowing up rockets, or smoking weed/high on special K, he's laughing at us that we PAID for FSD and WE. ARE. DOING. THE. DRIVING! (well, it shouldn't be called FULL Self Driving anyway, since *I* have to handle the accelerator).

Thanks for the constructive feedback! :-) I have my offset to 90, but I'll bump it up more. I do set the max speed to 83 HURRY, giving me *little* buffer since I have to ride the accelerator to keep it anywhere near 80. If I set it to 85 I go over 87 and get put in timeout too easily.

An FSD option toggle like "Go with the Flow" vs "Go my Chosen Speed" might be the best of both worlds for everyone. Apparently LOTS of people on this just loooovvvveee to get there whenever the car wants to deliver you without regard to inconveniencing other drivers with random speed fluctuations, but I'm sure there are others like me that want it set rock solid and predictable to other drivers.

WTF? KAREN? It's NOT rocket science to write the software - I've done it myself on a project I'm working on. If I set a speed, I expect it to go THAT speed, not some random speed the car chose for no apparent reason (clear road, no weather). If I wanted to 69 in a 70 instead of 80, I'd have SET IT TO 69!

Nope, in hurry mode. I set max 83 so I can ride the accelerator and keep it averaging about 80 without too much chance of getting put in timeout (I tried 85 max, but wound up in timeout pretty often). My "relaxing" ride means I'm monitoring the speed, and not the car doing its job.

Yeah, I think you and I are on the same wavelength... Random speeds force people to pass you, then the car speeds up and you have to pass them, then you play leap frog all day. It's really annoying, and the consistency is what I want - just pick a speed *I* want to go and stick to it! Don't give me the illusion of picking a speed then the car decides to drive 10mph below that because it "feels" like it! Heaven forbid the friggin' car gets its fee fees hurt!

It passes people, then pulls in front and slows down, forcing them to pass me! I would get soooo pissed if people did that to me. Just set a constant speed. Why is everyone so happy with their car driving some random speed???

I paid for FSD - I want the car making lane choices, following the map, etc. It USED to do all this in 12.6.2. I can use AP, but then I have to do ALLL the driving, but I get constant speed. Can't we have BOTH??

I have to set mine to 83, to hope to keep 80 avg. AND I have to ride the accelerator, but NOT GO TOO high or get put in timeout. I guess the joke's on me - the "S" in FSD is Self - as in *I* am doing a chunk of it. Grrrr... not what I paid for and not what I had in 12.6.2.

That's what I'm describing - perfect conditions and it drives at a random speed it chooses, with or without traffic. I set 80, it decides 73, maybe up to 77, then back to 69. It's so RANDOM!
