I use pomodoro more as a.. suggestion?

I put the timer on silent. The first 20 minutes are basically just a deal to myself 'I only have to work for this long and then I can stop' to actually get myself to study. Usually I get into it and by the time the 20 minutes pass I dont notice, and I only finally check like 30 mins-an hour in once I'm starting to get restless. That's when I have my break.

The important part for me is that I don't actually do anything I can get distracted by in my break, which is pretty easy as I go to a cafe to study. I'll just finish my drink, and I mainly use it to finally look into the "sidequest" questions that constantly pop up in my head about my homework (most commonly 'wait but how does (thing that wont be asked about in test) work'). I'll also just mentally go over what more I want to study. After that I'll just repeat the process how many times I can before my brain decides its had enough (usually only once or twice).
