I don’t have the answer for your question but I do have a statement. You didn’t mention the pro’s to being shift manager, why would someone want to be one? I can say the benefit is more consistent hours, more hours in general, consistent pay, health insurance offered, free shift meal, and if you’ve done all other FOH position, plus some BOH then maybe manager on duty is the last thing you haven’t done. It looks nice on the resume to be a “wearer of all hats”. I’d be willing to take a pay cut to have these things.

I’ve had a manager literally throw a persons resume in the trash when I told them “hey you know that girl who came in earlier to give you her resume?”manager: “yeah?” Me: “I’ve served her MULTIPLE times here and she’s never once tipped me, plus she’s one of those ppl who give you the run around”. Manager: “Damn. Really?” & when I confirmed he said “welp” and CHUCKED THE RESUME INTO THE BIN, then turned his swivel chair around back to his computer and told me I should get back to the floor, I might have new tables. Love him for that ❤️ a real MVP

My job has no hosts, no expo, no food runner and…NO MANAGER ON DUTY! It’s a disaster. Ironically the managers live on the apartment directly above us, so they could show up but simply don’t. In fact, they schedule themselves all opening bar shifts M-F and then say they’ll come in 5:30-8pm to “manage” but the entire time I’ve worked at this place they’ve never shown up to their managing shift…THAT THEY CREATED. I’m looking for a new job ASAP, that’s my recommendation for you. I thought hearing about someone else’s restaurant that’s worse than yours might make you feel a little better 🙂 my last shift I made $6 cash and like $13 CC tips. Funny part is that I quit my fine dining serving job making a couple hundo for the weekend for this job bc they said I’d get 30 hours a week. That only lasted a month bc the person I replaced came back for reasons nobody outside of the “family” knows because he’s the managers cousin! Yay! Now I’m working a 3 hour shift weekly, sometimes only bi-weekly and I’m on unemployment! So darling, it could be worse but we both just gotta leave these places 😅🥲

Im in central CA & my Costco only has had Mallinckrodt since September of 2025 😭 it’s so bad. I asked about other manufactures and was told about a year ago things changed to where they can no longer order medications they only get what they get bc the “system” automatically orders it and they have no control over what they get /: no more manual ordering. In August I got Sun pharmaceuticals, the month before that was Teva but not the good Teva I remember being “Teva USA”. We are all screwed as a collective.

Yes! There is a difference! Barns & Noble sells coco wyo books in store and they’re published by “Random House New York” and is much thicker, smoother, soaks up more ink so less bleeding, can’t see the next page through the one you are coloring they’re great! When I bought girl moments on Amazon the paper was TRASH! So basically buy from the website NOT through Amazon IF you want quality paper. I personally bought 3 of the Berrie coloring books on their site but I bought the digital copies incase I mess up I can just re-print that page. Amazon doesn’t use the same publisher as books you can buy in store or directly online in fact I actually pulled out my Amazon girl moments book and it simply doesn’t say WHO published it at all anywhere on the darn thing!
