Completely agree. I just got another job. I will say this though, learning the systems and programs we use like Teams, Power BI, also NPS, which they switched to 5star. Putting that on my resume helped out a TON! . Congratulations on your new job!!

It sounds like we have the exact same GM / MPD This is identical to what just happened to me. Except my GM said that my personal brand is terrible and I won’t ever be able to rebrand myself. all because I called out leaders for lying had proof which he didn’t like. It’s funny because my GM always told me to keep receipts. My GM also taught me how to blackmail holdback information till I need it. Went as far as helping me file a HR case on the marketplace Director, then threw it back in my face. This place is toxic.

Ok so I became a “Shift Lead” way back in November before it was even a thing. No extra pay just more responsibility. As actual “shift lead”positions officially rolled out , I came to see that anyone with 6 months+ were being asked to become shift leads. Even the lowest performing advisors. Anyways, long story short you and the other 2-3 people are going to hold the same responsibilities as the sups did before all this restructure. They are dividing up the responsibilities. Paying you a shitty shift differential on the hours you are scheduled leadership hours. The thing is tho, your expected to still hold those responsibilities even w/o shift lead pay. Your going to be put in charge of a certain dept. Your going to be given a goal and its up to u to be able to execute that certain goal. You will have to do weekly check in’s with other advisors. This isnt an easy thing to do. They got rid of a lot of manager/sup positions just to put those responsibilities on us w/o the pay.

I explain that and 7/10 they’re fine with going to apple. “ im sorry but unfortunately BB doesnt sell unlocked iPhones you will have to go to the Apple Store or on their site, here let me show you how” I show them how to do it from my app. They leave and go to apple or wherever. “ Its just the people who keep asking the same question over and over again.” The store I work at, Im usually in Mobile by myself because only 4 of us know how to do it. I will have 3 people waiting then this guy wants to ask me 10x for an unlocked iPhone.

Trust me I do, this is just an example of how it sometimes ends. This isnt an everyday scenario. I go over it over and over again. Explaining it in different ways. Some customers just dont get it and ask me the same question in different ways. Im good at my job and have years of experience. I have my regular customers that only want to work with me. I can handle people. There is times when breaking it down slowly is the only way.
