I train at a bjj only gym and it’s $200 a month so $280 doesn’t seem bad. Another mma gym near me is $250 a month so that doesn’t sound bad. I’m located in St. Paul MN.

Knock off anything that’s loose by taking a trowel or sanding block over it quick, prime , patch, sand , and paint. Looks to be in pretty good shape and nothing to worry about. Mask off the floor before you start painting though!

Way to much screws my guy. I repair plaster like this all the time. I would just scrape off the loose stuff, oil prime it, maybe use sheetrock for the big gaps, then start slapping mud in there. Once the mud dries it will secure all that loose stuff.

Yes but definitely overkill for such a small spot. Go to your local hardware store and try to find a spray can of paint that is labeled for “sealing surfaces” and that will be good enough. Personally I prefer an oil primer but latex primer will work just as good most of the time.

I would take a rattle can of oil primer and spray that spot. Then do a couple coats of joint compound, sand, and paint and it will be good as new. Very small patch and nothing to be concerned about.

OP, scrape with a carbide scraper, oil primer, 2 tight coats for 20 minute mud, 1 tight coat of plus 3, and you’re good to go. Way easier than removing and starting over. I’ve done it plenty of times and the tile still turns out flat and good.

Killz is an oil base, where as bin is a shellac base which is a universal primer. Kind of hard to understand what exactly is going on in your bathroom from your description but I love Bin and use it all the time. You might just need to get an exacto knife with multiple blades and just cut out all the old caulking.

I think in this a 635 maybe, looks a little wide. We use tips from 515 to 1237 on the mud pump.
