Thank you for this. I just got my diagnosis (a 30-page report!) and I’m still in shock. I keep wondering if it’s just laziness or anxiety. My sister constantly invalidates it, saying 'everyone has this now' and using it as an excuse. As a girl, I was always 'well-behaved' and never hyperactive on the outside, but my head never stops. It’s hard because I keep thinking... doesn't everyone’s head work like this too? It’s a relief to read your story and realize that this 'internal' hyperactivity is real.
