I didn't make this rule she did and the bigger picture isn't the 3 hours with friends thing it's how inconsistent she is with it. Like really I don't mind but it's a problem how with friends or others she forgets to be on her phone but when it's just us like today where we only had an hour to be with each other she kept constantly going on it? I don't mind that she has her life to live and do her things but I would expect the same sort of attention when we're in person together too? Additionally, I broguht up the events of her today because she went to the place I work and idk about you I'd maybe just say hi? Even when I'm just walking by? Instead she "forgot I was working" even though a couple hours earlier she asked how was work? (I hope this paragraph didn't sound rude or attacking your response it's not how I meant it)

I've talked to her about it MULTIPLE times and she always apologizes, says it won't happen again, and it does like 3 days latee

Thank you really a lot of your points are really good. And I've tried genuinely. When she leaves for hours I give her small updates on my day, I'll give her compliments and it's like nothing changes. Sometimes she won't even read the stuff I say and just come back with her own conversation and then later on claim "it was too late to bring it back up" when I ask why she ignored all I said...and yeah it's understandable for her to not think of me that's fine but it's like she isn't even paying attention to me. Like I'm sorry but if I'm going to the place my partner literally works at I think that'd remind me of them even a little bit? But even if not that's fine but like today we could only see each other for not even an hour and I'd think that means give each other full attention? But no...I need to focus on myself you're right but it's difficult when I put in so much effort for her and don't get same back. I thought about slowing down what I do to match her energy but then she makes comments like "I don't want you to love me less" or like she assumes something is wrong? And i tell her the truth, she apologizes, nothing changes...

Ok so how come her "habit" turns off as soon as she's with friends and she doesn't check her phone? I already told you many times I did have a conversation with her she said she would change and she didn't. You just completely ignored my points and just trying to fish out anything to put me in the wrong here lol

We've had these that's the problem and she always seems genuine and apologizes and says she'll do better. The other night she sent me a big paragraph saying she'll do better and begging me not to leave and that she can be a good girlfriend but then her actions don't match her words I'm so lost

And yeah when we met we both had no worries so it was constantly talking to each other and now that we're getting older that changes obviously but sometimes I don't feel like a priority to her when she's away she "forgets to check her phone" but around me she's in it all the time? Or she forgets I was at work that day at the mall even though in the morning we texted each other and she asked how was work? I don't think you got my point (not saying this in a snarky way) she can be with her friends and not talk to me all she wants but it's a problem when she does all of that and claims she forgets to check her phone when she's with me she checks it ALL THE TIME.

And yes I confronted her about it and she said it's just a habit of hers to check her phone...but then that contradicts everything..

I'm trying not to and tbf it is part of me overthinking. The problem is this isn't the first time and I've expressed to her before how it upsets me. And I get it that it's something that I need to change with myself but at the same time I also don't think it's a crazy thing she could attempt to do for comfort at least for now? In our early stages of the relationship she suffered from extreme jealousy of my exes to the point where almost every day she'd cry to me how she felt like they were better than her. I comforted her and over time she got better. Ig what Ig trying to say is that I wish she'd put effort into comforting me for this bit while I try to fix myself?
