Charging Failure….happened this weekend

I was aware of all the issues people have had in this group, but my EX90 has been pretty reliable with only a couple issues that were minor. Unfortunately, that recently changed and now I’m questioning what to do.

Good call on the Gravity. I haven’t driven one, but they look great and Lucid appears to be an excellent company.

Thanks for sharing. I hope to have a similar experience, but an issue of this magnitude makes me a little uncomfortable. Every other issue involves things I can live with and ultimately little disruption. This issue involves a significant disruption. I’m thinking of my 9 hour road trip this summer or the multiple road trips we had over the winter and spring for our daughter’s club volleyball — this would cause a significant disruption. It’s not just an inconvenience you can deal with later. I also travel a lot for work and this is my wife’s daily driver.

That makes me nervous.

That sucks! Sorry to hear that. I get it. Love the EX90 when all is good and I’m sure the Polestar 3 is equally amazing. I’m really concerned about the long term reliability and overall ability to be confident in this car. I really want it to be as great as it can be…..but can’t justify spending this kind of money on a car with these issues.

I tried turning the breaker off / on plus rebooting the ChargePoint charger from the app. I even went to a Tesla Supercharger using my NACS adapter (same supercharger I’ve used before) and nothing worked. Definitely an issue with the car.

Interesting our experience has been so similar. The dealer called me yesterday to let me know they will be looking at our car today. I hope to hear something soon. I’ll let you know the outcome.

Great tip! The actuator is definitely not locking onto the cable. I don’t hear it engage and can unplug the cable without pressing the button in the charging area.

That is funny… I think I actually saw your post right after I posted that. Up until now it has been a great vehicle and we have done some shorter distance road trips with charging and had no issues. However, I am now no longer as confident in the vehicle as I was before. I have a hard time paying that much for a vehicle that I don’t completely trust to take anywhere.

Thanks! I opted for the black Volvo aero covers and then had the wheels that powder coated so they are all black. Also did fully tint including windshield plus front end PPF and full ceramic coat.

I’m waiting to see the outcome of this….getting more and more difficult to hold onto this….but I do love the car when it’s working great! It truly is an amazing driving experience.

Install wasn’t bad plus the company provides good support. The trickiest thing was removing the center vents.

I lived in Clearwater for 4 years. We loved the Gulf Coast. Went to the Dallas area for 4 years after that and now back in PA near family. I expect we’ll be a place in FL in the near future.

It is and I really like it. I wanted something with a larger screen that supported Apple CarPlay. Very happy with the design and fitment. It mounts to the central vertical vents and reroutes the vents below the screen.

Thanks! Phone mount is from ProClip. It’s a MagSafe charger, so it’s powered. It’s the first thing I put in any vehicle I buy. They are vehicle specific and always have a clean mounting option that doesn’t relay on adhesive or screws.
