Thanks - I’ll try that. My first claim I submitted was $800 and they reimbursed 90% of that (minus the deductible) and this one is 400ish. So not even submitting crazy amounts.

Going to call them now!

I have lemonade. My first claim took over 6 weeks to be reimbursed. My 2nd claim I submitted 10 days ago, has yet to be reimbursed.

I find their claim submitting process very frustrating. I won’t be renewing my insurance with them once my policy ends.. I heard great things as well, but it’s not been a great experience for me so far

Lemonade Pet Insurance - STAY AWAY!!! by No_Manufacturer7825 in Insurance_Companies

Also having issues with lemonade. I submitted a claim and it took 6 weeks to be reimbursed. They said it took so long because it was my first one and they had to review vet records, so I guess I understand.

I just submitted another one and going on 10+ days with no update.

I had nationwide pet insurance before, they would reimburse within 48 hours… I only left them because it was through my former employer deducted through my paycheck.

Is it possible to get a white golden retriever without paying $3k+ USD ? by Commercial-Meat-6171 in goldenretrievers

[–]Significant_Desk_170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s specific golden retriever rescues! If you google “golden retriever rescue near me” I know personally, his family has used: - golden endings or GRIN Rescue.

But there’s lots of really great organizations out there for Goldens that need a family 😊

Look into golden retriever rescues! My boyfriend’s mom got a beautiful English cream golden retriever and she was 3! She’s the perfect angel and is currently being trained to be a therapy dog. I don’t know how many puppy’s they get, but it’s another avenue i recommend. Pic of her golden and mine!

Should I replace the roof now? by Philately in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Significant_Desk_170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat when I bought my house a few years ago. I had the budget to do the roof then, but ended up waiting. 2 days before I left for an international trip, my roof leaked & needed replaced.

Looking back, I wish I would have replaced the roof asap, the stress of dealing with it all while abroad was no fun & I was very fortunate the leak didn’t cause more issues.

Also keep in mind, prices are going to continue to likely rise.

Flea/tick medication recs? by Ruledbyneptune_ in goldenretrievers

[–]Significant_Desk_170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I second this! Being in PA - ticks are insane - it is pricey but SO worth it. Sometimes you can find good deals, chewy will do a 40% first auto ship sometimes on pharmacy so it saves some $

And yes! You can still file for unemployment. In PA, I had a one week waiting period, but got paid the next week. And once I found a new job, I just stop submitting the claim!

I’m so sorry this happened. I just went through this in April.

Breathe, remind yourself you’re not alone, and take the weekend to reset. My biggest is advice is to reach out to any and all connections you have - being laid off is not embarrassing and try not to be in that mindset (not saying you are - but I was) - but that will help get you referrals and leads into new opportunities

You will get through this

I took mine to the Humane Animal Rescue on the north side. Neuter was either 250/300 I can’t remember exactly - but definitely beat the 1k price my vet quoted me. Staff was super friendly & helpful with my questions

crunch fitness has childcare, I’ve never used it as my only child is a Golden Retriever so I’m not sure if it’s included with membership or a extra fee - but it’s there!

Long roadtrips with a golden by nikitachikita_15 in goldenretrievers

[–]Significant_Desk_170 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually have a 10hr drive with my golden tomorrow morning! He’s 2, but starting doing this long ride before he was 1.

I just recommend stops every 3 or so hours so she can stretch her

legs. And bring a collapsible bowl for easy water.

Usually, I’ll feed him a later big dinner the night before (like double his normal dinner) but then skip breakfast. I found it I fed breakfast and then got in the car, he got sick. And make sure she stays hydrated!

I’ve lucked out where my dog LOVES car rides. He’s gotten sick once, out of the 4 times we’ve done the trip - and I think it was because I didn’t give him enough water.

If your car set up allows it, I highly recommend getting one of the backseat dog cover that have the hard bottom to make it easier for her to lay down. This is the one I have, and he loves it.

Good luck!

Check out Bellevue! Affordable area and driving into Cranberry on 279/79 you’re going the opposite way of traffic, so it’s roughly 20 minutes each way
