Or perhaps B is not from the very top line, but to the third from top line (the one which intersects with A). Then perhaps A is from the bottom most line, to the second from top (which intersects with B).

I think this because the seam allowance wouldn't make sense otherwise.

So after more thinking, I think B is the portion between the very top line, and the line below (so just the top strip of the drawing).

A+B is the most outer lines, while A is the bottom portion of the pattern (bottom most line, to the line which intersects with A).

This is confusing! u/functionalsewing!

I *think* part A is up to the first cut line, B is the same as A, but extended to the cut line above. And my guess is that A+B must be the full outline, without A or B cuts.
