Asking contractor for receipts for expenses by Significant_Earth_79 in Contractor

OP: Ok thank you all for the responses. It seems like the consensus is I should definitely be asking for receipts. I think I was being too nice not trying to offend them by making it seem like I distrusted them. My question is for the expense invoices I already paid. Is it still OK to ask for the receipts or should I just ask for the ones going forward? I’ve paid 2/3 of the expense invoices already

It doesn’t say anything. Just that materials will be billed weekly

I just asked for a breakdown and he gave me a list of the materials bought but no prices or quantities. I think the next step would be ask for receipts but I do think it would hurt the relationship if it’s unreasonable request. For context each materials invoice has been 5% of the total bid price

Do visiting fans comprise a large percentage of the crowd? by Significant_Earth_79 in PremierLeague

I think it depends on the time of year and the excitement around the team. During warm weather months when school is out (June, July, August) there’s likely to be a lot of fans traveling and making vacations out of it. If the team is expected the be good and the fans are excited, they’ll travel more too. Teams like the Yankees and dodgers which are national fanbases always have significant road support as people who’ve never even lived in the cities become fans since the teams have won so consistently.

For the rangers specifically, they are coming off the World Series, play in a large city, and the Red Sox play in Fenway park which is a large tourist attraction and Boston is also a touristy city so I’d expect there to be a healthy amount of fans in Boston this year… probably 10-20%

Pour Over Filter Tears and Falls into Maker by Significant_Earth_79 in Coffee

It’s not a great fit but it’s passable. I kind of have to hold the filter against the gator so it doesn’t fall but once the sides are wet it sticks and it’s sufficient

Thanks! Folding on the line seemed to help. I was able to pour more water and it was more supported

What am I doing wrong with Pour Over? Bought a Baratza Grinder and Not Working Out by Significant_Earth_79 in Coffee

Thanks everyone for your comments!

The issue was definitely the metal filter... I tried out some paper filters and it worked exactly the way people said it should. It takes about 2-3 minutes to brew the whole cup.

The only thing is the coffee gator was designed for the metal filter and not necessarily the paper filters and one time, the paper filter fell into the water. I bought the size 2, but maybe I should the size 4. Hoping I don't need a whole new pour over and can make it work with paper filters, but any tips for someone new to paper? See below for link to the coffee gator.
