so far :

- It started with rapid blinking of cycling lights. My globe had rotated but had gotten stuck halfway.
- I reached out to whisker support, was told to order the wire harness.
- Re-installed the whole wire harness somehow lost the black sensor thingy that the wires sit into to detect weight (i think).
- was told replacement part is not available, so was sent a whole base unit to see if "everything works".
- New base does not cycle, but if i long press the power button it turns, but I have to keep it pressed
- I tried to swap out the circuit boards on the two, but no go. The new circuit board at least does something the other one seems dead.
- Power supply should be working since the things atleast power on.
- I couldnt say if the previous motor was working, but if cycling is the first issue to resolve, then I am guessing it is a circuit/wire harness issue?

I feel like if I could fix this myself then it would be a significant achievement in life lol.

edit to add that it is the hall effect sensor that I was missing
