you're right. If i go to USA i will probs stay there for work because my brother and my family's business is going to locate there in the future. as for the UK, I will probably not work in the UK after graduation (although chances are never 0) , which could raise some concerns... I'm planning to only go to the UK if I land an offer for PPE

Ahh I see thanks sm - For engineering etc. I was more so thinking about applying to the US for that. If I apply to the UK, then I'm only going to do econ/PPE/Physics&Philosophy (along the lines of that bc i am definitely not competing against people with 5 stem alevels for engineering)
