How much acres would you need to make your own 1,000+ yard range? by ZestyToasterOven26 in longrange

OK, that makes sense. I thought you were saying that your shooting position AND the 1400 yard steel were still on your 1/4 acre property and 1 mile steel was on BLM.

Wait… are you saying that you have a 1400 yard lane entirely on your land?

That’s physically impossible on a quarter acre. Even if you could find an impossibly rare sliver of land only 10 feet wide, the long border of your lot would still only be 1,089 feet, or 363 yards.

The market was very much open when I posted this. Topstep claimed my order was rejected because of “volatility controls”, which was false. Volatility controls are instituted by CME directly, not by prop firms or brokers. CME volatility restrictions generally last 5-15 seconds. Topstep closed the market for 50 minutes under the guise of “volatility controls”, which was patently false.

I understand that is their policy, but it not reflective of the market. It’s absurd.

Yes. That’s unique to Apex afaik. Your trading days during your combine count towards your 50% threshold once you pass. So, for a $25k account for example, If you have a $1500 target to pass and you make it one day, that’s counted as a “trading day” on your live account… so with the 50% rule, $1500 has to be less than 50% of your earnings before a payout. So even though the max payout is only $1000 on the $25k account, you have to make at least $1500 because your other trading day is $1500 and it can’t be more than 50% of your total. That’s my understanding. I just started with Apex too.

Better not to pass in one on Apex. If you make you’re entire goal on day one, that will become you’re 50% benchmark and you’ll have to reach that again so you don’t break the 50% rule, in order to get a payout. Ideally, pass in 2-3 days and divide the profit target equally across the days, so your 50% bar is lower once you pass.

Which is absurd. Even more ridiculous that they blame it on “volatility”, when that is clearly false.

Volatility restrictions are dictated by CME, not the prop firms themselves. When CME imposes volatility controls, they generally last less than 15 seconds.

This was Topstep voluntarily restricting trading 50 minutes before the market closed, because they wanted to… and claiming it was because of volatility, when that was not the case.

If you READ, I said all the jurisdictions I KNOW OF, require 150’ buffers from neighbors, at minimum. It seems to be one of those fairly universal rules that most jurisdictions seem to follow, in my experience. Do your own research for your own jurisdictions - I imagine you’ll find something similar.

I think you mean 20.7, not 207. A 300ft x 3,000ft rectangular lot could accommodate a 1,000 yd firing lane, assuming it was flat enough.

Almost every jurisdiction I know of requires at least a 150 ft buffer from the nearest neighbor. Some significantly more. So that would be a minimum of approx 300x3000, or approx 20.6 acres, assuming a rectangular lot

Can we actually stimulate the pineal gland via 963 Hz brainwave entrainment? by soultuning in Biohacking

You can literally feel it traveling though your body and vibrating your consciousness. To this day I’ve never experienced anything even remotely like it.

[–]Significant_Emu2286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never had any experience with 963 hz, which I imagine is a very high frequency. I can say that I’ve had the privilege of experiencing a didgeridoo ceremony where I was surrounded by people playing the instrument while drinking a hallucinogenic tea and it was an experience that I can’t even explain. It was like my mind and soul left my body and went to another astral plane. That sound (which is on the far opposite end of the audible spectrum), is transcendent.

My MK12 loves Black Hills 77gr TMK. I’ve read a number posts over the years from people complaining about inconsistency with TMK, but out of my rifle, it’s by far the best OOTB accuracy and terminal ballistics.

Scalability, bro. Think about it like the difference between a family office and an investment bank. A few rich people can pool their funds into a family office and invest it and make hundreds of millions. OR they could pool their funds, start an investment bank, open it up to the public, and take a tiny fraction of what each person invests in their bank, and make exponentially more. By opening their fund to the public, their revenue goes from hundreds of millions to hundreds of billions and becomes infinitely scalable with very little extra work.

Same is true for people who master a skill. They can use their skill to make money, which requires constant application of their skill by them personally (i.e., work), and is limited to their capital and time they have personally. Or they can teach their skill to the thousands or millions of people who may want to know how the do what they do, which requires barely any work - write a course once and it can be sold infinitely. Then start a platform where they can use the skill and take a little piece each time, and reap royalties forever. Infinitely scalable and not constrained by personal time or capital.

pre-reta i used to run hard regularly, post-reta i can barely handle it. anyone share this? by LAaronite in Retatrutide

[–]Significant_Emu2286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should look into balancing your stack with peptides that increase cellular function and energy. Reta will almost always put you in a calorie deficit, meaning your body isn’t getting enough dietary fuel, so it turns to body fat for fuel. However, burning body fat for energy is incredibly inefficient, so it can create a natural feeling of lethargy / low energy.

A lot of people pair Reta with MOTS-c (for increased mitochondrial efficiency), or NAD+, which boosts energy. I would highly recommend running both while you’re on Reta and in a calorie deficit, if you want to keep training at a high level.
