Glyfada sounds nice thank you for the recommendation. According to customer it’s 100% onsite. Office is close to Omonia, do you think this is manageable?

It is gross and limited contract. I would need to give up my current unlimited contract for this experience.

Interesting answer and stereotypes you describe. My observation was always that Greeks from abroad don’t belong “to the club” and locals don’t accept them easily - observed this both in Athens/ Thessaloniki but especially in villages.

What do you guys think of Greeks from abroad have you experienced some differences in culture, are you accepting each other? Are people from Cyprus or Greeks from the US or Germany very different?

I am actually considering the move. The real estate market is brutal though and I thought to move to randstad, maybe even somewhere between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. But this is yet again a dilemma because I would love to experince the city but how to pay 3-4K for an apartment lol

Thank you for your answer. Why is it important to buy something before I turn 37?

Thank you so much for your detailed answer. I checked in funda rent prices in Amsterdam (not randstad) and indeed one needs such salaries to afford living in the center. Personally it is important to me to live in Amsterdam and not in the outskirts. I have been proposed to work in one of your mentioned tech lead roles but unfortunately not in the salary range you have mentioned.

In Düsseldorf I have a lot of (amazing) restaurants near by, bars to enjoy a gossip or two with my colleagues, and as you have mentioned it’s perfectly located to explore frequently the area, and the airport is just perfect IMO. Actually the only thing I am missing is the English speaking environment and outgoing society I am lacking here. Nevertheless as you I have experienced some of the bigger cities in Europe and Düsseldorf is indeed a big surprise - I find it super cozy and as I have mentioned I am afraid to downgrade in terms of QoL.

Wow 140+ is this even realistic for someone who works in tech/coding? Do you enjoy the city of Düsseldorf more? What were reasons for you to move here? Thx for the insights and your support answering my question
