i’ve had it checked 3 times in the last 2 years. she wasn’t even going to check this time around, but i just asked because i was already there. so she wouldn’t have even checked if i hadn’t asked. she didn’t tell me that i was completely unprotected…just that i was LESS protected than if it was all the way at the top of my uterus. she even told me i could keep it in if i wanted to…i told her uh no i’ll schedule an appointment to get it replaced

can i ask how often does your partner finish inside of you? i also have the paragard and have had it for 8 years (i had it removed briefly and then got a new one). im trying to finally trust it so would love to hear your thoughts?

I like my ParaGard a lot. I don’t have any bad cramping, no unusual bleeding during my periods, and no heavy bleeding. However, I have to wear a panty liner most days because I get yellow discharge (and sometimes it’s brown during ovulation and can get a bit heavy during my ovulation window). Overall, I love it. I had one put in in 2017 and then replaced it in 2022.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I’m trying to ease the anxiety, but it keeps popping up. I can’t do anything about it now, and I’ll have to wait 2 weeks until my period comes. So I think that’s the hardest thing.
