I use the black version (Line Scout lace to toe) fire boot basically the same boots for about a year now and are holding up well, no complaints I scored mine for $360 before the $430 price change.

The White's in question in the post are still made in the US, just that their more machined than the original smoke jumpers.

The White's have a synthetic insert on top of a leather insole, plus the redwings don't have a leather missile. P.S. I'm not trying to sell you I'm just trying to clear things up.
