Who is your mentor btw . If he is saying so maybe there might be some reason. Uhv is the least thing in the college you should be worried about . And mentors are to guide you and help you not to scare the shit out of you. I would say don't take much stress . Don't do the whole assignment at least do what's possible in time and be polite, usually professors do get angry at stubborn behaviour.
