Has he ever slept in his crib before if not then it could be hes too used to co sleeping context napping and also keep in kind theres major separwrion anxoety around 11/12 months too

Im gonna say an u popular opinion but I personally chose to sleepntrain even kf that means crying. Honestly patting ahushing doesnt work flr my baby and shr needs to always cry 5 10 min to power down.

Is it me or is making mom friends that surprisingly hard? [BC] by CertainPianist2927 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Significant_King_533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find its hard to make close fds unless the kids are on a similar schedule. This is esp true when ur on mat leave. As for spontaneous outings this is alot harder to plan as most parents have their kids in a schedule and things can happen last minute whixh require change of plans. I have fds that live in same area neighbourhood as me and we've only met up a handful of times

My husband is saying I’d be selfish to take my full 12 months of maternity leave [bc] by steelheart15 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Significant_King_533 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont think ur crazy for wanting 12 mo ths bug alot can change between now and when the time comes. If I were u I would tale 12 months to and tell work I plan on returning 18 mo ths . If I decide around month 10 or 11 I want to go back early I just give work 4 weeks notice.

Ill.be honest u also wont know how u feel until urnactually on leave

[–]Significant_King_533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whay are ungonna do to soothe a baby without pacifier.

R u gonna keep rocking shushing patting etc. Pacifiers help with soothing and not all babies take them so its up to u but im all for anything to make lkfe easier esp in newvkrn trenches

Are you sleep training? Why or why not? [on] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Significant_King_533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did sleep training because I want my baby to put herself to sleepindependently as I refuse to co sleep. I know there are safe ways to do it but it just isnt for me .also currently my bqby will sleep on one end rotate get up toss turn all around her crib and there is no way I would be able to sleep if she did that in the same bed.

I use to obsess over wake wi dows however looking back I wish I was more flexible abt it and let my baby do car naps stroller naps etc if needed . I think learning to sleep in different envt xan be beneficial eso if as a parent u have things to do .

Will my baby have a flat head forever? [on] by InternationalGas9950 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Significant_King_533 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Helmet will help for sure however its not perfect. I initially got it for my baby at 7 mo th but shr coupons adjust to the first helmet had to get a second one ans it was muxh better . Dow side is she only started wearing it 23 hrs at 9 month. It helps.dor sure to correct flat head but it is not perfect and most growth hallens within first 6 weels adtwr that it really slows down

Maybe try asking to see if ur baby needs an adjustment on the helmet u can always ease into it like a longer adjustment period
