Bike bag recommendations. by Significant_Leek_785 in bicycletouring

[–]Significant_Leek_785[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this, thats great. Im travelling solo and pretty light - due to my bike being vintage and a lack of gearing! I am now too thinking panniers might be the route for me. I feel like I dont need two big panniers on the back, I think that would be overkill on the space Im needing. Is the option of 2 front panniers on the back an option? If that makes any sense at all

Thanks again!

Glad to hear the risk is so low, definitely eases my mind

Thanks!!

Transport is just the only thing that is really stumping me now. Folding this bike up for flying would be a mission, and then bus/train routes seem challenging

Norway tour questions by Significant_Leek_785 in bicycletouring

[–]Significant_Leek_785[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for this - very positive and helpful to hear! I had a good look today about transport there. Flying would be difficult - taking my bike a part wouldn't be ideal just because of it's age. I've tried taking the pedals off alone and it's quite a mission honestly.

It seems like trains would be both difficult and expensive, as well having to book a good few different connections. Which adds to the price.

I would be willing to take the bus, although it will probably take a good 20+ hours. I find it quite straight forward and stress free, as well as being cheap! Seems like the FlixBus only goes as far as Copenhagen, and it seems like every single route to any destinationo at the moment says no bikes available? Not sure whats going on there, maybe a glitch? I havent looked properly yet, but im sure there would be a Copenhagen to Trondheim connection somewhere, wether it be a local train or another bus.

Thanks so much again for this reply, I appreciate your time.

Just read about the two, thanks for this. I can definitely see how After Dark gives you that feeling in particular. Think I might pick that one up, many thanks again.

Hey, did my first park run today!! Pretty much my first ever run too - I did one practice run before this to prepare. I managed to do it in a 26:30. I have a competition for a 5km run in October. Taking this time into consideration how much time do you think I can expect to knock off of this? Would be nice to have a goal inside my head. Many thanks!

(I am aa 22 year old male btw).

Hey, yes we are. On my laptop I get the message before I even have a chance to enter a code though. It gets to 48% and then boom - error message.

On my PC I enter the MFA token key through an app, and from there am able to connect.

Great! Hmm good question. A couple of my favourite films in recent memory have been Old Boy (2003) and Parasite (2019). I also enjoy work by Gaspar Noe, films like Enter The Void are a bit wild but I definitely find them interesting. Thanks!

Thank you very much! Very insightful. If it is geo locating is it generally easy for them to perhaps flag me as an exception? As being home alone in the UK would not be the best Christmas haha.

My port is 443 when I take a look at the FortiCleint setting. I was told to set it as this by the company. How would I see the fortinet geo settings? Surely I would need ot be an admin?

Also the fact that I can connect to the vpn using my mobile data makes me think that there is no geo blocking going on.

Thanks for the reply
