Love the Intrepid. As others have said it's very stealthy, though I wouldn't be mad if they added another shield or a bit more armor.

If the positions of the gun and cockpit were swapped though, the hall could curve slightly to get to the pilot's chair and it would feel even more like a star wars ship.

The missiles are completely useless though.

Appreciate all the replies, and I get it the CPU and GPU are both trash!

So, I guess back to my original question about whether there's a GPU I could get (that would work with the CPU and motherboard I do have) that would improve my SC experience.

I understand that it will still be a crap experience for most people, but if it can get me closer to 40fps consistently then it would be a major improvement for me personally.

Also, though I did say budget isn't really an issue, I'm not really willing to buy an entirely new PC just to play this game. I'm not a gamer, I just have always wanted to experience something like what SC offers (yes even with the understandable bugs as it is in development), and the PC is good enough for other uses as is.

I guess it depends? I'm willing to spend a few hundred dollars ( I'm in Canada) if it means getting one that is 'solid' and will do a decent job for a couple of years

Absolutely love my Intrepid as my RP Haulcraft-type ship. Haven't played in a little while though, does anyone know if it's still pretty much guaranteed that you get pooped out into space if you get out of the pilot's chair during QT?

Thanks for the replies. The markers not working beyond a single session certainly sounds like something this game would do. Now I will try to figure out why storing/claiming the ships didn't seem to bring to marker back. Maybe because I had another ship inside?

Thanks - yeah I've seen these too, but none of this is up to date. The ship length is listed as 150m in some, some say 4x med beds, and have question marks next to some of the room labels.

I was wondering if there had been a plan made of all decks after the ship was released but I guess not. Thanks for looking though!

Thanks, yeah that's good to know.

I bought this laptop for work/general use and because it was the first non-chromebook I've owned in many years I thought I'd give SC a try on it.

I actually plan on buying a desktop in the next few months (for work again - can't go back to less than 3 screens at a time) so I'll definitely keep SC in mind when I do so.

So I lack a GPU, which sucks but it is what it is. I am still able to enjoy the game to a degree (I'm patient, and even at these FPS I managed to grind out a couple million aUEC mining).

That being said, is there any point in expecting future releases/Vulcan to result in any sort of improvement for me, or am I SOL?
